Dr. Joyce Shotick joined Judson in 2015 after owning her own business and teaching at Bradley University and the University of Illinois Springfield. She has conducted research in household factors that affect the purchase of insurance, pay-what-you-want pricing design and the millennial generation as consumers of higher education. More Info

Tim Carlson is Assistant Professor of Business, received his B.S. in Business from Eastern Illinois University and his M.B.A from Rockford University. He has been responsible for budgets of large corporations and has over 25 years of experience in accounting and management. For more than 20 years, he has taught various Bachelor and Master-level Business classes for multiple universities, including Judson. He has been a volunteer Awana leader since he was in high school, and enjoys various outdoor activities such as skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and camping.

Professor Chang has more than a dozen years of public accounting experience with the Big Four accounting firms. He specializes in accounting and tax for churches and non-profits and also serves as the director of finance for Goodcity, a non-profit incubator working in underserved communities in Chicago. Kathy Craig
Kathy Craig

Kathy Craig holds a BBA in Business Administration, MBA with a Human Resources concentration, and is a Ph.D. Candidate in Organizational Leadership with a Business Management concentration. She also is an Enrolled Agent with the IRS; enrolled to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. She also has been in the business world for more than 25 years and has experience working in a variety of businesses, non-profits, and educational institutions.

Judson President Dr. Gene Crume earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and his Master’s degree in Communications from Western Kentucky University. He went on to earn his Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from the University of Virginia. Throughout his career he has been committed to passing on his experience and knowledge by serving as assistant professor or adjunct instructor for classes in business, public relations and communications at several institutions. He is currently teaching Media Arts 443: Fundamentals of Public Relations at Judson. More Info

George Gill holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics which served him well in his banking and finance career. He was vice president in corporate lending at a major NYC international bank, and treasurer of a large publicly traded corporation. He was a leader and principal of two leveraged buyouts. He has served as chairperson of a United Methodist foundation as well as an advisory director of a successful Chicago area manufacturer. George is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel.

Prior to his time at Judson University, Dr. Jack Groppel served as the Co-Founder of the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute. He is an internationally recognized authority and pioneer in the science of human performance. Jack has addressed the issue of worksite wellness and performance at such policy events as the United Nations Side Event for Physical Activity and Non-Communicable Disease, three U.S. Congressional Briefings on Worksite Wellness & Health Promotion, and represented the worksite wellness industry at the historic Surgeon General’s Call to Action on Walking and Walkable Communities. More Info

Kilee Simpson earned her bachelor’s degree and MBA from Judson University. During her undergraduate studies she was a member of the Judson Women’s Track and Field team. She then served as a Graduate Assistant and Throws Coach during her graduate program. She been involved in the research of pay-what-you-want pricing design and neuromarketing with visual stimuli in correlation with graphic design. She worked for digital marketing companies while also completing freelance graphic design projects for various clients. In addition to her marketing career, she worked in finance as a personal banker.

William Young has several years of experience in senior management roles, such as Vice President at Sterigenics, a global bio-technological company. Along with his professional career, Professor Young has passion for sharing, mentoring, and challenging individuals in the areas of faith, business and management. He strives to develop the managerial skills of his students and trainees. His conviction and goal is to speak and live the truth as outlined in the Scriptures, whether in the boardroom or in the church community.
