What do you do in your current job and what do you enjoy about it?
I teach children about all subject areas (reading, writing, math, science, social studies). I love seeing when they have "aha" moments.

How did your Judson experience influence you professionally? What were your favorite parts of being a Judson student?
My experiences with the spring break mission projects influenced me to teach abroad for several years in order to broaden my teaching horizons. I specifically remember Professor Kaplowitz's U.S. history class because of how he pulled from various fascinating sources in order to teach. I also remember Professor Colpitts telling me I was growing even though I was frustrated. Sandy Gum also cheered me while I was her R.A.

What are the strengths of your major/program at Judson?
The strengths of the Elementary Education program are without a doubt the professors. They truly care about where we are headed as educators and as learners.

What advice can you give to current and prospective students about their time at Judson?
Manage your time well. Sleep enough. Keep just the right balance of study and play.
