Jeffery Carl is a native of suburban Chicago. He earned a BFA in Illustration, an MA in Studio Art, and an MFA in Drawing and Painting from Northern Illinois University. His work has been shown both regionally and nationally, and for nearly 20 years he’s taught drawing, painting, illustration, art history, and fine art seminars at Judson University, where he also serves as Gallery Director and Chair of the Department of Art & Design. GE Colpitts has taught at Judson for 20 years, and is currently a board member of the Illinois Higher Education Art Association (IHEAA). She earned her BA from Greenville College (IL) and her MA and MFA degrees from Northern Illinois University. She has won numerous awards and honors for her work. Her current research interests are in drawing, ceramics, and American history. Her art, encompassed within Project 1216 and the Cenotaph Series, involves ongoing historical research and response to her discoveries through drawings and ceramic installations.

Laurie Culshaw holds an MFA in Design, Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor’s degree from Judson University in Visual Communications (Graphic Design) and Arts–Pre Masters (Studio Art). Professor Culshaw has an active graphic design practice that includes work for non-profits and corporate clients in both the U.S. and Canada. Her design research focuses on how we build and maintain meaningful connections, and the critical role those connections play in graphic design.

Melanie Gibb has taught part-time in the area of Graphic Design since 2004. She earned her BA Summa Cum Laude from Judson University and her MFA from the University of Northern Illinois. She also studied Product and Furniture Design at DeMontfort University in England.
