Senior Class Giving Campaign

What is the Senior Class Giving Campaign?
Eileen Waller

The Senior Class Giving Campaign exists to educate seniors on the crucial need for private donations to Judson while also encouraging them to begin their support of the university. In the spring of every school year, student members of JSO (Judson Student Organization) reach out to fellow classmates to encourage them to give back to the Senior Class Gift project or whichever department, program or organization that had the biggest impact on each student's life at Judson.

Each year, a committee of seniors from JSO brainstorm and collaborate to pick their top idea as a gift to give back to Judson. This year's committee has decided to lead the support for the Eileen Waller Memorial Scholarship.  Eileen touched each of our hearts and cared for each of us deeply.  It is our goal as graduating seniors to lead Judson students and alumni in giving to this scholarship with the goal of raising $10,000 in hopes to endow the scholarship.  This will allow Eileen’s memory and love to be shared with current and future Judson students in perpetuity.

Why Should I Give?

Think about your time at Judson.

Your first chapel, Eileen calling you by name as you left the cafeteria to tell you to have good day, supporting your classmates as part of the Blue Crew, learning from your favorite professor, Christmas with the Crumes … Got it?

Now take that experience and think about it being 20% less of what it was. Your tuition only covers 80% of the cost of your education. That solely includes the cost of maintaining Judson as is. No new computer equipment, no renovations on campus, no increase in scholarships, and no new strives in sustainability. Nothing.

Just as college tuition is an investment in yourself, your gift is an investment in Judson. Without donations in addition to tuition, current students wouldn’t have the many scholarships offered, great Chapel programs, the DCWPA resources, athletic facilities, or even the World Leaders Forum. On a larger scale, future classes would not have the new dorm that is being built in the upcoming years and other new projects currently in the works under the Campus Master Plan. Private donations also support and sustain the Judson strategic plan, helping prepare you and your classmates to shape the world!

What Should I Give To?

Make a thoughtful gift to, well, just about anything. JSO has chosen to lead the fundraising for the Eileen Waller Memorial Scholarship. We would love for you to give to this project, but you also have the ability to choose from hundreds of designations around campus. Anything from student scholarships, athletics, specific majors, departments or even student life. Simply choose where your gift could make the greatest difference and Make Your Gift Now!
