Dr. Karen Love

Program Chair, Bachelor's of Business Administration and Bachelor's of Organizational Leadership

Dr. Karen C. Love serves as Program Chair for the Bachelor of Business Administration and the  Bachelor of Organizational Leadership Studies. Dr. Love is Vice-Chairperson for the Love Family Christian Foundation (www.lovefamilychristianfoundation.org), a nonprofit organization that serves domestically and internationally in education, entrepreneurial and medical education.

Dr. Love began her professional career as a Risk Manager and Corporate Trainer for G E Capital Credit University. Her educational background includes a BA in Economics, an MBA and Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Science. Dr. Love was inducted into the Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society for Economics in 1993. As a continued part of her executive education, Dr. Love has received two certifications from MIT Sloan School of Business. As part of her Strategy and Innovation path, Dr. Love received her certification in Leading High Velocity Organizations in February 2023. She has just completed her certification in Master Design Thinking. It encompasses concept development, applied creativity, prototyping, and experimentation.

Dr. Love’s research interest includes nonprofit sustainability through leadership, emotional intelligence, and system thinking. While pursuing her MBA, Dr. Love traveled to London, UK, Paris, France, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Rio de Janeiro to consult and develop business designs for international corporations through the University of Cambridge in London, England, the University of Argentina in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, in Lake Forest, IL. Dr. Love serves on the Institutional Research Committee and the University Assessment Committee. She is a member of Trinity Baptist Community Church of Crystal Lake, Il. where she was ordained into the ministry in 2012 and serves as associate minister (www.trinitybcci.org ). She is a musician, worship leader and Director of the Children’s Worship Arts Ministry.

In 2020, Dr. Love piloted a program called Game Changes Academy under the governance of the Love Family Christian Foundation. GCA offers a 12-week intensive mentorship in Leadership/CEO Development and Entrepreneurship. Creativity, Critical Thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Strategic Planning, Communication Skills, Peer to Peer Constructive Feedback, and Mentor/Student Development. The program was put on hiatus in 2021. A new cohort will start in January 2024.

She is also Founder of Friday Night Chats (www.fridaynightchats.org)  with Dr. Love. A podcast which is heard on numerous channels, now celebrating three years of service, hosting in eight countries which behind the United States, Germany and India were number two and three respectively. The purpose of FNC is to connect Organizational Leadership throughout a full spectrum of industries.  Through the FNC, leaders from diverse industries share their expertise in cultural competency through the diversity of thought. FNC provides a platform for coaching, mentoring, and professional counsel for individuals seeking to gain a broader understanding of Organizational Leadership.
