Dr. Michael McKeever was a full-time faculty member at Judson University from 2000 until 2019 before returning to his native California, and he now teaches as an online adjunct. He specializes in the Gospels, and his past research has focused on the areas of the biblical narrative, sacred space, culture theory, and literary theory.
Dr. McKeever was the founder and director of Reel Conversations, the Judson University Film Series (2001–2018), and he writes about the cultural dialogue between faith, film, and culture.
Dr. McKeever is also a blues enthusiast and guitarist. He is an ordained member of the Church of the Brethren and writes and frequently speaks for the denomination. Prior to teaching at Judson University, he taught at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California.;
Dr. McKeever completed his Ph.D. at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. He was a Visiting Professor at Fuller Theological Seminary and has also taught at Northern Seminary, Asbury Seminary, Earlham School of Religion, Bethany Theological Seminary, Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, Fresno Pacific University, San Francisco Theological Seminary, Pacific School of Religion, and the American Baptist Seminary of the West.
