With a solid foundation in health, science, nutrition, and psychology, our Health Promotion and Performance major will give you the edge you'll need to compete for employment opportunities in community and public wellness programs or pursue graduate training. Common career paths include personal training, fitness director or manager, community health programming, strength and conditional specialist, coaching, and wellness coordinator. Health Promotion and Performance Program Goals

Judson's Health Promotion and Performance major will help you develop:

  • Foundational competencies as passionate pre-professionals.
  • A personal, moral philosophy and code of ethics that they will apply to a variety of situations.
  • Actively be involved in professional and community organizations.
  • Written and verbal communication strategies through lesson plans, units, practice plans, projects, practicums, student teaching, and internships.
  • A basic understanding of healthy lifestyles all aspects of wellness.
  • Organizational skills to design, implement, appraise, and evaluate programs and projects.
  • Reflections on how the Christian faith is applied to life, work, and learning.

  • Colloquium experiences exist for upper-level students so that you can experience your undergraduate program alongside other Health Promotion and Performance majors, which means more synergy and accountability with your peers.
