Adjunct Instructor of Graphic Design

Job Summary:

The Department of Art & Design seeks adjunct faculty to teach graphic design courses. Applicants must support Judson University’s liberal arts-based programs, distinctively Christian mission, and community standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

Teaching graphic design courses, which could include: Web Design 1 – HTML, CSS, hacking WordPress sites, hosting a URL, C-panel; Web Design 2 – Product design and design process; Graphic Design 2 – image+type layouts, 3D applications including package design, design for a target audience; Typography 2 – Development of complex typographic systems, experimental typography (analog + digital), typeface design (does not need to be working)


Successful candidates must possess: an MFA or MDes preferred (MA candidates also welcome; a minimum of 18 graduate hours of design coursework, OR a minimum of 10-years of experience working professionally in the field; a commitment to excellence in teaching within a Christ-centered academic community; and experience teaching at the college level is preferred.


Adjunct faculty hold the rank of instructor and are hired on a per course basis.
