Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics: Calculus

Job Summary:

The Department of Science and Mathematics at Judson University seeks applications from individuals to teach one or more of the following courses: MAT211 Functions and Calculus I and MAT216 Calculus with Analytic Geometry II for Academic Year 2023/2024.

Primary Responsibilities:

Instructor will prepare lessons (lecture and/or active learning), select homework assignments (these can be completed using an online homework system), create tests and quizzes over the prescribed textbook sections, respond to student questions (often via email), and evaluate student work.


Candidates must 1) hold a master’s degree, doctorate preferred, in Mathematics or a related field 2) demonstrate an active and growing Christian faith, 3) share a commitment to excellence in teaching within a Christ-centered academic community, and 4) possess collaborative skills to work with colleagues across the Science and Mathematics Department and throughout the university.


Adjunct faculty hold the rank of instructor and are hired on a per-course basis.
