Adjunct Instructor(s) of Accounting

Job Summary:

The Department of Business seeks an adjunct instructor(s) to teach BUS251: Financial accounting; BUS261: Managerial accounting, BUS353: Individual Income Tax, and/or BUS351: Business Entity Income Tax.

Primary Responsibilities:

We seek individuals to teach courses based on the AICPA required accounting courses to sit for the CPA exam. Key accounting concepts, processes, and regulations must be taught through discussion and practical applications. Accounting courses include accounting practices for public accounting as well as for private firms. Instructors are responsible for creating appropriate lesson plans and assignments, grading papers, conducting appropriate assessments of student learning, and submitting both midterm and final grades.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have 1) a minimum of MBA or MSA or equivalent degree from an accredited institution, 2) experience in public or manufacturing accounting, 3) share a commitment to excellence in teaching within a Christ-centered academic community, and 4) college teaching, preferred.

Salary/Benefits:

Adjunct faculty hold the rank of instructor and are hired on a per course basis.
