Director of Accounting & Finance

Classification: Full-Time 

Reports to: Vice President of Business Affairs

Date:  October 2022

Conduct financial analysis and generate budget & cash flow reports. Organize, analyze & maintain financial records. Establish & enforce financial policies and controls. Supervise cash deposits & monitor cash flow. Update & maintain various spreadsheets utilizing Excel, including endowments quarterly. Manage general ledger database. Approve journal entries for AP Supervisor & Senior Accountant. Review Accounts Payable checks & bank and investment account reconciliations. Supervise monthly close process. Coordinate audit preparation. Oversee tax matters (review forms, file unclaimed property tax, review payroll and tax filing) and make Governmental funding requests. Supervise Accounts Payable and Senior Accountant. Utilize Jenzabar ERP to create and maintain financial maintenance tables. 

Required Education and Experience:                                                                      

  • Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Demonstrated personal Christian faith & commitment to the Christian mission of the University. Must sign Judson’s Mission Statement and Community Standards. Background, reference, drug and criminal checks required. 

Salary & Benefits:
