FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Elgin, IL – Judson University will host its 2024 commencement ceremonies on Saturday, December 14th, at Herrick Chapel on the University’s campus. This year’s commencement will feature two ceremonies: one at 10:00 a.m. and another at 2:00 p.m. Doors will open for guests at 9:00 a.m. for the morning ceremony and 1:00 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony. The ceremonies will be streamed live for those unable to attend in person. To watch the events, viewers are encouraged to follow or like Judson University’s official Facebook or YouTube pages.

Commencement Speaker: Dr. Nick Perrin

Nick Perrin, Senior Pastor of Corinth Reformed Church in Hickory, North Carolina, will deliver the commencement address. Dr. Perrin brings an abundance of experience in academia, theology, and leadership to this year’s commencement. Prior to serving as Senior Pastor at Corinth Reformed Church, Dr. Perrin was the President of Trinity International University for five years. He also held a noticeable role as a professor of New Testament and served as Dean of the Graduate School throughout his 14-year tenure at Wheaton College Graduate School.

A prolific author, Dr. Perrin has contributed extensively to the field of biblical scholarship, including over a dozen books. His most recent publications include Luke: An Introduction and Commentary (InterVarsity Press) and The Kingdom of God: A Biblical Theology (Zondervan). Dr. Perrin’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy in Bible from Marquette University, a Master of Divinity from Covenant Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from The Johns Hopkins University.

“We are honored to welcome Dr. Nick Perrin as this year’s commencement speaker,” says the Judson University President Dr. Gene Crume. “Dr. Perrin’s distinguished career exemplifies the principles of faith, service, and academic excellence that we aim to inspire in our students as they prepare to make their mark on the world.”

Dr. Perrin and his wife, Camie, have two adult children and continue to make an impact through their commitment to faith and community.
