Applying to the M.Ed in Literacy Program

Qualified students interested in applying to the Master of Education in Literacy program at Judson University must submit a completed program application. Once an application is received, all prospective students must complete the remaining steps in the admissions process.

Application Process

1. Submit a completed program application (see link below).
2. Complete our pre-admission survey: “Am I ready for the Master of Education in Literacy Program at Judson University?”
3. Submit the application fee of $55. Checks should be made payable to Judson University.
4. Submit proof of Professional Educator License (PEL).
5. Submit official (signed and sealed) transcript(s) of all college coursework. A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
6. Submit two letters of reference. One letter should be provided by someone who can speak to your professional experience as an educator. The second letter should address your character and should be provided by someone other than a family member.
7. Typewritten, double-spaced essay (not to exceed 500 words) describing an area of literacy instruction (reading, writing, literature) in which you would like to grow professionally and discussing why you feel that growth is needed in this area.

Apply by December 1 and waive the Application Fee!
