The World Leaders Forum Inspirational Series featuring Actor Edward James Olmos has been postponed due a last-minute filming schedule conflict. The event, initially scheduled for Friday, April 8, has been rescheduled for August.
Mexican-American actor, director, producer and activist Edward James Olmos will speak on the Judson University campus in Elgin. Olmos is best known for his roles as Lieutenant Martin “Marty” Castillo in “Miami Vice” (1984–1989). During his keynote and a one-on-one interview, Olmos will discuss life, business, and finding inspiration.
The interview with Olmos is part of the World Leaders Forum’s Inspirational Series, which will be hosted by Jacqueline Ruiz, an entrepreneur, author and Latina pilot. Ruiz will interview Olmos for an informal discussion covering a wide range of topics from life lessons, ways to make an impact, and inspiring stories. Ruiz will also include a discussion with Rick Najera, an award-winning screenwriter, actor, director, producer, sketch comedian, author, playwright, coach and national speaker.
“We are committed to delivering the best possible experience for the World Leaders Forum Inspirational Series and know that this unexpected change beyond our control will bring many other opportunities to make a bigger impact,” said Jaqueline Ruiz. “We thank Edward James Olmos and Rick Najera for working with us to bring the very best experience to our community.”
Current ticket holders and attendees have the option to request a refund or be automatically transitioned to the upcoming event. For questions, please contact Julie Schmidt at [email protected].
