Dr. Luis Fernando Nunez

Professor

Dr. Luis Fernando Nunez studied Architecture and earned a Master’s Degree in Architectural Design in Mexico, where he graduated with Honors. He also studied for his Ph.D. in Architecture at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. He was a full-time professor at Monterrey Tec University Campus Querétaro, Director of the Architecture Program and Department as well as Dean of the School of Architecture, Art and Design of Monterrey Tec University.

He has taught in France at the Savannah College of Art and Design and has lectured at specialized conferences stressing the importance of the “spirit of place” and topics related to sustainability in Architecture and Urbanism. Leading his own professional firm, he has carried out more than 30 architectural projects, some of them awarded nationally, including the building for the School of Architecture, Art and Design of Monterrey Tec, which received a LEED Platinum certification by the USGBC.
