Why Study Computer Science at Judson?

Judson's Computer Science major will provide you with a deep understanding of theoretical Computer Science that will prepare you to have an impact in the industry from their very first day of employment. Acquire both the technical skills and problem solving strategies to provide solutions to real-world problems. Taught from a Christian perspective, you will learn how to apply your knowledge through software development and the integration of the industry’s standard tools and practices. Courses take you through a progression of learning that begins with the fundamentals needed for success throughout the program and ends with you applying your knowledge in real-world scenarios and in the creation of new, innovative solutions.

Students in our Computer Science Department all begin with the same core major, a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. Judson also offers a Doctor of Education in Computer Science.

Within your last year, you will have a practical internship to develop your profession skills and practice applying your knowledge in the field of Computer Science. Judson has relationships with area businesses and non-profits in the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs to help students find internships.
